有时想到distinct  & distinctive, 但不知在实际运用中的区别，或者如何简单将其用法作一界定，谢谢！！

still confused with the two words. but,

distinct, to me, means totally different.  two distinct language systems

distinctive: having some specific fetures.     

anyway, the difference is subtle.
