A：of recognizing与to grasp不平行；indicate as不知道对否，indicate sth.倒是挺常见的

B：to recognize与of spontaneously grasping不平行；as多余

C： of recognizing 与to grasp 不平行

D：as多余；have the ability of dong sth. 是unidiomatic的

E：Concise and idiomatic, choice E is the best answer.

我觉得应该是are capable of recognizing themselves in mirrors与and of spontaneously grasping的平行， 如果是of selfawareness 和of spontaneously grasping平行的话， 第二个破折号就该省去。
