突然想到了，C 中AS IN后省略了主谓，在H，就象在欧洲许多城市一样（大多数妇女工作。。。。），很多妇女工作。。。。，这样就对啦，AS还是做连词，但平行部分省略了（在比较结构中平行部分可省）

tai6996的解释有问题，首先a中用的就是 in 和work，并没有使用with 和 works。另外，我认为whom不加也未尝不可啊。本来我选择的是C，但是后来向一个老米印证，他给的答案是A，理由是他们习惯这么用。我当时差点晕过去 能帮我找到充分的理由驳斥 A 吧。

why in this case "an overwhelming proportion of women" is singular ya? in GWD11-Q20, there is a sentence "Yet although the proportion of new cars in Donia’s capital city has always been comparatively high" - it shows that proportion of new cars should be a plural ah... please help!!

你的理解可能有些错误哦，an overwhelming proportion是形容词性，表示“相当大比例的。。。”，如果把它理解为A GREAT DEAL OF STH的话，因为后面WOMEN是复数，那不很容易就用复数形式了吗！而the proportion of 是名词词性，表示甚么的比例，自然要用单数形式！
