Glad to find this discussion here.I am also struggling to make the decision. I work very close to New York,would definitely go for a part-time b-school program in the City because many of my friends are in the City. Besides, my target industry is also booming there. My two cents here is that location does matter. If you go for a part-time where you want to pursue your future career, chances are that you can still build up a beneficiary network through your company and your classmates. It is true that par-timers are less involved in school events, however, the classmates are great resources. Most part-timers are already in management positions and very possibly they could be your future referral or colleagues. But a top full-time program definitely makes sense because the campus recrurting will be the bridge to your future endeavors. |
