Are you sure? As far as I know there is not expat. pay in CICC these days. Although it is very competitive compared with other local companies, CICC's salary level is much lower than those big names in Hong Kong. But you are right, there is almost no position these days in Hong Kong. almost everybody laid off. ........ Some people did internship at CICC, the compensation is ......... horrible.

hehe, I am sure, because the deals they are involved, their compensation is huge. while for those international IBs in hongkong, there is no big deal left in that dry market anymore. yeah, the salary at CCIC sucks big time. but consider this, all bill paid + small salary = low tax bills...

you know, it is China, you have to be creative...

是的呀，而且我想“光在美国读过书没工作过的”是不是有时也可以引申为“光在美国读过书但是没有在相关（就是想去的行业或公司）地方工作过”， 这种人恐怕更多啦

的确，咱们不要把范围太局限了吧？首先本身IB都只适合于几所那些顶尖学校的极少数中国MBA们的事，其次适合CCIC的MBA可能更少。而且，据我对国内的其他一些中小金融机构的投行业务的粗浅了解，好象那些人办的事就是去送礼搞关系吧？
如果我们回到最早的主题，正如前面有贴子说的，金融的范畴远远大于IB。除了那些顶尖MBA们需要急于在这个高收入行当把投资收回来，应该还有些人“宜将放眼长思量”吧？

其实我也很关心商业银行和中国的证卷业， 虽然都不规范, 但是可能是包括我在内的CDers的最好选择。 我以前在中国证卷业工作过, 其黑暗程度令人后怕， 可那是七年前了， 不知道现在如何阿

if you are in top 10, you donot need to worry about the career development of finance MBA and you are hot. But if you are out of top 10, even through you are in us, no IB will look at you.
