hey there hope this could be helpful : Essay 3: What legacy would you hope to leave as a Johnson graduate? (200 words)
The coolest part of this question is the 200 word signal. You can’t say much in 200 words, so don’t. What do they mean by legacy? It’s not so much about vanity. Sometimes the two things can get confused. It’s more about impact. How would you want to make an impact in a way that YOU would have appreciated as a student there? That’s one way to skin it. Consider what kind of stuff you’d find particuarly useful or helpful or interesting as a first or second year, and then consider possibly how you might make that happen.
Two parts.
Part 1 – Deliver the actual concept/idea for the legacy. Sell it. Be clear, explain the value. 100-125 words.
Part 2 – Explain how you’d … do it. If it’s just a fancy idea with no real hope of being executed, um, great. Anyone can do that. If there’s some potentiality behind it, and you seem like a guy who can pull it off, it may weigh more. If you really do it right, they may just believe you! And want for that legacy to happen.
