高亮部分不明白，请哪位高手翻译一下。个人感觉that是引导staple的定语从句。怎么叫stop cultivating。

"that they stopped cultivating once rice and yams were introduce"在此做staple crops的补语, 整句意思是说 西非并未发展出因为rice & yam 引进而停止耕种的主食, 意思也就是说之前西非并未有主食

补充一点：A说的是在rice and yam未引进之前，西非人没有种植（因为引入大米后而停止种植的）主要粮食作物。而B说的是在西非没有主要粮食作物。

关键在于西非人在rice and yam引入之前是否就已经种植粮食作物？如果在引入前就没有种植主要粮食作物，那么结论：通过rice and yam的引入时间就可以知道西非人何时开始农业社会，就是对的。而B中并没有告之“西非人是否种植”这一点，即使原来有native 可以种植的作物，但如果西非人没有把它们当做粮食来种植（比如，把它们当做观赏植物），西非人也一样没有开始农业社会（取非不削弱）。

非常支持ringcheng的观点，B错在 if domesticated 上面，要真正的种植上了，才能算前提，也就是答案A

A不是只是重复了一下已经给出的信息吗？原文中已经说了所有的staple crops来自非洲以外，最先传入的是rice and yams.那么，在rice and yams之前怎么可能有其它staple crops,更别说什么停止种植了。

因为即使这样，你不知这些PLANTS domesticated是在rice and yams were introduced into western Africa 之前还是之后，如果之后，则结论仍能成立。即B取非不一定使结论不成立。而A取非是结论一定不成立
