U can maker a reasonable guess..Definitely top schools including Princeton and MIT.Rumor says many experienced guys are going to apply for master this year...2012 application should be really competitive

I never believe that agency can put me into MIT, Princeton, etc. (maybe for your background it's highly possible) . Agencies do not have incentives to put you in the best schools.

I've once heard that Barcap will hire lots of students in HK FO, but now I believe what I can only do is to wait for my THANK YOU letter...

Your background is not only excellent, but TOP in China. Experienced guys will turn for MBA.
As far as I know, your GPA tops all candidate in our department. Your GRE score in high enough. Your have top experience in IB industry and your boss's recommendation will be very strong. So what else? Don't listen to those guys above telling you to apply for some 2nd-tier schools. Those bullshit programs can never satisfy you (but I think the school is not important since your return offer can be extended?) 4 or 5 top programs are way enough for you. BTW Do apply NYU, this program is very decent and less competitive than MIT, much less than Princeton.

Anyway, good luck to your application... If you reject a school, please kindly refer me to the admission committee...

Thanks very much for the advice. As far as I know all bb ibank will have a smaller grad class this year,not sure how much smaller it would be...I'm definitely in the return loop,but really depends on econ condition.The FIRE is ongoing everywhere...
Dont you think NYU is too quant for me?I mean stern.But you are applying for poly ha?
I think you make good prep for your application,so probably no need for me to recommend..lol

I have a similar background compared you, with a lower GPA, worse exchange school, internship in not so famous firm...I'm not confident in this year's application or job hunting, though I just don't want to apply for schools not on the 'target school' list... If you finally reject WUSTL or LSE, do recommend me, I'll be very appreciated...

The class of 06 in econ department had 4 students in MIT. 07 only 2.

Another guy in 06IN got an offer in MIT last year (i'm not sure he had stayed 5 yrs in our school or worked for several months b4 application. A girl in school of management got an offer last year.

Last year, the overall situation in our dept is bad...As far as I know, less than 5 people in our dept got into the programs listed in my signature(excluding HKUST, HEC & Poly).
