我觉得第一个也应该是C.In an America steeped in romanticixm, Cemetries were laid out。查了一下steeped in类似一个形容词，“沉埋于”的意思，修饰名词romanticixm，找到一个例子“It was a steeped in tradition ”。前面的就是in an america romanticixm,就好理解了，后面是公墓were laid out

我google了一下，JFK曾说过一句话：I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute。
这里这个an America即表美国。
所以这道题是不是可以理解为＂在洋溢着浪漫主义的美国，墓地都在远离城市的地方。。。。。＂

碰到它算你倒霉啦，我相信美国人都知道an america什么意思。估计他们还纳闷为什么这题这么简单呢，呵呵。
这题要是我碰上估计也挂了
