選項有：they are sure to keep his home and family safe
surely, his home will be kept safe等等

be sure to do有没有主观的感觉，很多主观的表达是GMAC不喜欢的。。

从因果逻辑来看，surely那个比they are sure那个好

Prefer Surely

It is sure is not the best way, sure is better to follow sb. Sb. is sure to do sth.

It is certain.

我觉得主动优于被动
prefer the first one.

也注意语态问题了。。语态只是形式，个人感觉还是要看逻辑意思，这题开头就用了because，表强因果
第一个从逻辑上是讲不通的：因为警察看守**的房子，所以他们(警察们)就一定keep his home safe.
第二个更make sense: 因为警察看守**的房子,所以他的房子必定safe.

倾向 surely
虽然有主动优于被动，但是Manhttan也有一小节提到Prefer被动的情况，例句：
During this operation, new blood vesesels are inserted, by passing blockages.
点评是the writer intends to emphasize the action performed on the vessel and de-emphasized the surgeon.
这个句子里也是强调房子安全，而不强调动作发出者保安
