嗯，这两题貌似都是prep 里面的，LZ可以去看一下07和08prep的语法笔记，有很详细的讲解，

1、动词是work，主语是women。A不对因为指人用who/whom，C的many of them in ....应该是独立主格

2、这句其实是倒装，正确的顺序是the rate at which trees grow is believed to be among the surest indications of sunspot cycles. 排除ABD，C不选是因为后面的as seen in the rings visible in the cross sections of their trunks要就近修饰the rate at which trees grow
