E和C的区别在于定语修饰的对象不一样

一个疑问
OG-95:The peaks of a mountain range, acting like rocks ina streamed,produce ripples in the air flowing over them;the resulting flow pattern, with crests and troughs that remain stationary although the air that forms them is moving rapidly, are know as "standing waves"

Bat NN讲，“C选项是说的【在同一时间段下，两个东西不同状态的对比】；而E则是【它们现在怎样，但是过去是由什么形成的】。”
如果这么理解，C选项明显优于E选项，但是我在读E选项的时候，却不是这么理解的。

我的理解：C选项，although前在讲crests and troughs，although后在讲air；
E选项，although前在讲crests and troughs 的“stationary属性”，although后在讲crests and troughs 组成部分的“moving rapidly”属性；
结合OG 12-52 ，
52.To Josephine Baker, Paris was her home long, before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, and she remained in France during the Second World War as a performer and an intelligence agent for the Resistance.
(D) Long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate, Josephine Baker made Paris her home,
(E) Long before it was fashionable being an expatriate, Paris was home to Josephine Baker,
OG解释，Baker should be the subject of the first main clause, parallel to she in the second main clause.

结合OG-52，从平行及句子连贯性的角度考虑，我优选E。

我的思路到底哪里出问题了，望大家能够指出。

这个好像比较有道理

“although的存在是为了表达转折的含义，从句意上看是stationary和moving rapidly的转折对比
先看正确选项，连接的是that remain stationary 和the air is moving rapidly，结构、含义上都非常对称。
再看正确选项E里面although连接的却是crests and troughs和they are formed by rapidly moving air，可以发现crests and troughts与它们怎么形成的无法形成一个"转折"。能形成转折的是crests and troughts的stationary和air的moving rapidly.”

选的时候一下子就剩下c和e了，说不出来为什么，就感觉c对，你一说才觉得，就是这种感觉，没有把转折的意思表达出来。

结合OG-52，从平行及句子连贯性的角度考虑，我优选E。
OG-52这里是因为后面有and，是平行，要全句各部分平行。因此要JB做主语。但是og-95这里并不是有平行词：and,but,等等。只是although。逻辑上有转折意思。并且OG中逻辑是王道，也有满足逻辑不满足平行的要求的。因此这2题没有对比参照性。
我的思路到底哪里出问题了，望大家能够指出。

XDF老师说C选项和E长得更像，E被改的面目全非了所以选C，==。。。。。和LS大神的解释简直不能比。。。。
