谢谢tianya111很真诚的回答，gmat重考的可能性不大，我还得准备考T，平时工作也较忙。
曾经因为以后想在中国发展准备读中欧，现在因为种种原因还是想到北美读，加上在那里生活工作过，总体上比较适应，以前的工作是IT支持，总觉得工作没劲，在公司又是非主流，虽然比较轻松但成就感没有。读完MBA以后的目标是能在那里在商业领域再工作几年看看。

lz要学会发掘你的闪光点，从工程师到售前已经体现出了你寻求职业变化的决心和行动，要沿着这条轨迹，去听到自己的内心深处的声音，设定让自己充满激情且合理的目标。这样写出来的文章远比自己的背景更重要。

知道不少背景普通，却能申上top 3的同学，都是经历了一番深刻的soul searching的过程的。

Most Chinese applicants are weak in expressing themselves in a more "English" way(in terms of language and culture) ; so it's wise to tell something from the bottom of your heart which makes a more compelling application .  

If you are an excellent story teller, that's fine. But I really doubt Chinese male applicants can do it just fine. I believe, on the other hand, Chinese girls do much better job.
But I admit, to my knowledge, that many who have accepted by HSW have tried every way to "portrait" themselves. I did not do my application that way but I'll say telling a good story is highly effective and it is one key skill set of an MBA.
