Hi Lionel,

My dad and I had a little discussion about you and what you guys have talked in the car. My dad wants me to contact you so that I grasp more ideas about US business school and Working in the US. Thus, I write this letter. Here are some questions I would like to ask you.

(1) What do you think about chinese students going to US to get MBA degree? Do you think it's good idea?

(2) After getting in MBA, which idea do you prefer to, going back to China to find work or staying in US to find work?

(3) What do you think of GMAT? Since my father told me that you think GMAT test is very easy, what advise you can give me since I have been preparing for this test over several months now.

Hi Jason,

MBA is only a good choice if you can get into top ranked business school. You do need to take GMAT.
It's a good experience to study in the US, but quite difficult to get a job for foreign students regardless your concentration.

I suggest to get a high GRE score, then apply for a one year Master of Science degree. The most important thing is to choose a right major. Once you get in, you can still apply for a business school. You do need to take GMAT.

Hi Lionel,

The only purpose for me to write this letter is that I want to work in US. Since I have been researching several school and emailing several MBA advisors, noticed that there will be increasing job opportunities after graduation.

Pursuing MBA program is awesome and meanful to my career.

Taking GRE is arduous job regardless I've been self-studying on GMAT for several months now and still hasn't got any big improvement.I don't want to study repeatedly in the post graduate education, I think that just waste my time. After all, thank you for your advice,

没有在北美上班和找工作，但是要支持一下楼主的effort，我也一直想拥有西方中产阶级的生活，梦想能到北欧，可是一想到不管多牛，也很难真正融入当地人中间，去了也是二等公民，桑心啊，不由得把希望转至让中国快点发展起来了，不单单是经济，环境啊，人文啊都要发展起来。

上星期天去参加了Boston Cornell的MBA座谈，那些资深的MBA毕业人士都说你要在美国立足就要融入当地人的文化，生活中去，陪他们吃饭啊，喝酒啊，玩啊等等，读书好没用的，中国人很多在那边死读书，后面很多留在美国的都是那些平时成绩并不是很好人去大公司。

那些MBA毕业人说来说去说了很多乱七八糟，搞到后面重点就是要融入美国文化最直接，最有用，别的都没用的~

你能和美国人打成一片也不代表你可以融入美国社会。我一个白人朋友，top 20 MBA,朋友无数，甚至有个铁哥们的岳父是美国前海军总司令。他也待业了几年，最近才找了个实习单位，尽管表现突出，但单位资金紧张，他仍在为找正式工作发愁。他为人热情诚心，朋友都喜欢他。现在的net-working 已经不能派上用场，你只能期待美国经济能突飞猛进。
美国大学大量招外国学生，也是为创效益，赚外汇-这是我最近在本权威杂志上看到的，说美国学习英国的策略，通过收取外国学生来激发经济但不放宽外国人打工政策，以防外国人占取工作机会。我觉得大家应多看美国的新闻，such as CNN,Economist...获取真实信息。

失业率还是很厉害~~~我觉得如果可以的话我想去加拿大读MBA，那样比较好移民，而且那里work force到了2012年经济就敢不上了~ 我是听一个加拿大MBA毕业生说的。

美国人才多，而且工作不多~~毕业出来工作难找~~ 像你说的那个白人朋友，他可能是因为想做自己喜欢的事情，毕竟如果糊口饭吃吃的话，他认识那个司令可能还是会给他介绍份工作的~

我不知道现在华人在美国工作的人多不多~~还是说那些华人都呆在唐人街~
