I think C {..successful firm....to increase its volume...but..its volume of business drops} violates Mr.B's position {...make better decision....are worth the fees }

and fits in Mr.F's position {...to avoid responsibility....be blame when things go wrong}

Groundkeeper is right.
According to Ms.Fring's position, executives like to hire consultants who charge more,because the more the consultants charges, the more they can be blamedif things go wrong.  What happened in C support Ms. F's position.
