因为1. 第一段说的是Hopis社会很稳定，就算是在人口下降和外界接触的压力下。 2. 第二段开头说（普遍认为的，从has been能看出来）：能保持这种独特的社会文化系统，是由于宗教精英的努力和地理隔绝。是这两点导致了社会稳定，社会稳定呢，又在人口下降和外界接触的环境下，显得很不可思议，社会竟然没动荡还很稳定。所以“人口下降”和社会文化没有半毛钱关系。
