这个句子主要是在考习惯用语和简洁的用法。
我们会说，Without you, I could never be successful.
我是在把四个选项通读了一边后，选了B。只是觉得B最顺。回头看的话，B也最短。。。所以就最简洁喽。。。

头大的一道题，当时我也选错了，我觉得选B的原因如下：

1. it指代不明可以排除掉CE。文章的原意是说由于Morocco地处直布罗陀海峡，所以法国人在xx世纪认为Morocco是很重要的，因为他们可以借此控制Algeria（可以去看看世界地图哈）。 由于在CE两项之中Algeria出现在it之前，所以会有Morocco和Algeria的指代不明问题。

2. D中的that不合适，非常awkward.要指代前面提过的相同单数物体，应该用it而不是that。可以参考prep笔记中的《that , one , it 的区别--aeoluseros》：
I. it／one ／that三者均可用作代词, 指代前面提到的名词。一般说来, it指代同名同物; one与that则指代同名异物。

3. 剩下的就是比较AB了。我觉得A在语法、指代上没什么错误， 但是B更好。 B用了would过去将来时表示对未来的推测，比过去时更好。without it 也可以做条件句，没什么问题。

其实我想问这个句子里面的they指代什么？ Morocco 吗？可是was明明暗示这是个单数啊？

E 我选的时候觉得 是倒装 有强调的意思 与原句不符  记得白勇里面说 不能随便改用倒装 属于改变原句

我终于看明白了， was of internest to .... 的意思是  F 对 M 有兴趣。 THE FRECH  是复数， MAROCCO 用单数，所以 IT 指的是  MAROCCO,  THEY 是 法国。。。

再看，简洁的话 B 比 C 好
