这是2008prep语法笔记2-227后面给出的一道类似题链接

答案选C，理解。但是想问下各位，对于A选项，一个错误点是with the intention搭配错误，正确的搭配应该是with intent to do sth，那如果我把A选项改为fund with intend to sustain the state’s economy after exhausting its oil reserves 是否正确呢？这里的这个intend是应该修饰fund还是Alaska存钱这个事件呢？

这个结构中intend是名词~2008语法笔记里面有讲到，对应的题目就是新prep2-227~

(1) intend的固定搭配：à intend的动作发出者必须是生物。
verb. intend somebody/something to do sth.


I didn't intend her to see the painting until it was finished.
　I never intended things to turn out the way they did.
intend to do/doing sth. （后面跟to do和ing都可以）

intend that

be intended to do sth.：被用来做某事

be intended for somebody/something：表示书、电影、药品等专为…而设计或制造。

(2) intent的固定搭配：

noun. with intent (to do sth) à注意intent前没有the

prep语法笔记上讲的也有名词词性，with intend to do用的好像就是名词词性~具体的解释我贴到楼上啦~

with intend to do结构里面就是名词，我也是在prep语法笔记里面才看到的~详细的用法我贴到楼上啦~但是还是不理解这道题intend到底应该修饰谁~继续求问哈！

intend是动词。。。。

这个查下字典就行了啊。。。

A用with intent to do把这个表目的的短语变成了独立主格，表伴随状态，意思不对。你看下prep2008语法笔记227题对D选项的解释。

intention的搭配：
intention to do
intention of doing

intent的搭配：
with intent to do

哦哦~悲剧看错了！谢谢啦~
恩~我明白你的意思，我想问的就是这里，prep227那道题D选项说：with the intent做伴随状语修饰前面的分句，逻辑主语不管为rules还是state都错误；就是这里不理解，为什么with the intent的逻辑主语是state错吖？
同理，前面我贴出来的这道题intend是修饰fund的吗？为什么不能用with做伴随状语修饰这个国家呢，也就是国家存钱的目的是balabala……

举个例子
I bought some TNT, with the intent to blow up GMAC.

这个with引导的独立主格作为状语，补充说明主句描述的整个事件的动机，我觉得with既没有指代主语I，也没有指代宾语TNT。

227那道题，想要表达rule was intended to do的意思，也就是intend不能光是个伴随的结果，而是需要表达出发出intend这个动作的主体（state）和intend这个动作的受体（rule），但是with引导的独立主格办不到撒。。。

GMAT里面有with the intent to的选项一般都是错的，肯定是优先考虑动词intend沃
我在别人空间抠的例句，不管是划线部分还是没划线部分，都是用intend
