这个director是台湾人？他本身的英语看得出来就不怎么样。
你完全可以投诉他，把他的信forward给另外的director或者学校的领导，看他们怎么说。用"shitty"这种词是非常不professional的，可以说是personal insult了。你又没有骂他他凭什么这样做。
你如果只是很soft的纯是道歉的话估计以后这个program里很难有人尊重你。Learn to stand up for yourself. 为自己的unprofessionalism道歉，但是同时要求对方也为他说的话负责（指出对方的unprofessionalism和你的feelings hurt)。这才是正确的做法。不过这次真的要保证你的信语法完全正确了。

如果真的收回AD，你就有筹码跟对方谈判了：相比被审查处分，他肯定更愿意私了

晕死了...为啥有人学了点俚语就到处都用，好像自己的英语很地道一样，你能想象你在中国的正式商业信函中见到“哥儿们”，“俺”，“酱紫”这类的词语会是什么后果？如果他说了shitty这样的词语你当然可以投诉他不专业，但肯定是闹得谁也不痛快，作为受理投诉的committee来说，从政策上来说他们当然会说用shitty不对，但是他们心里是怎么认为的LZ也能猜想到吧，而且就算是真的argue回来了，说真的你还想去吗？

If this happens to me I will definitely reply saying that I'm withdrawing my shitty application as I would never expect a decent and caring program with this kind of director, so rude and disrespectful

and I will send complaint emails to everyone there, dean and deputy deans of the Bschool, presidents or chancellor. Just to let them see what a high-quality fellow they hired into their team

有点震惊，但是如果仅仅因为这个理由就拒掉别人，我觉得这个项目也不值得去上。
