TOPIC: For successful development of a country, should a government focus its budget more on very young children education rather than on universities? People seldom agree with each other even in such issues as whether a government should focus its budget more on very young children education rather than on universities. Arguing for this idea are many people who hold the view that baby education needs more financial support from government. On the other hand, some others may prefer that the country should put more of its resources into universities and not infants’ schools. Contrary to the opinion of many people is my heartfelt agreement with the idea that government’s budget should pay more attention to universities rather than baby education. My point of view, on the whole, involves the fundamental and deep discussions as follows.
First of all, the top of the list of my viewpoints is that to run universities needs more money. Both common sense and our experiences in our daily life inform us that the cost of running university is huge. To provide excellent studying environment, schools must build large libraries designed for accommodated students as well as enormous books. In addition to the costs of building adequate library facilities, university must also pay every year to keep its collections well organized and up-to-date and to hire well-trained staff. Not merely are there libraries and playgrounds and classrooms as well. In these situation, therefore,it is partially indisputable that the amount of money required for operation of university is immense.
In addition,an equally essential and compelling argument which deserves people’s attention is that university is more critical to successful development of a country. Before attending colleage, students have a limited opportunity to specialize.During four year undergraduate, youth is supposed to gain valuable skills that are practical in their future career. One can only need to look at accountants. Were they not learning knowledge of accounting, they wouldn’t make contribution to society through financial analysis.Besides, tothe aldready familiar fact,a great deal of further examples may be added. Some students develop their mental ability and obtain great academic achievements in university. It is obvious that these academic achievement contribute to prosperity of a society. For example, when Gauss was a senior, he solved a pretty tricky algebra problem, promoting progress of mathematics. That does prove my point, university is vital to a development of a country.
Admittedly,it is true that with out baby education, any country cannot be succeed. Our society is filled with examples that the sole of those young children whose parents didn’t pay adequate attention on their education is severely distorted.Nonetheless, this alone does not constitute a sufficient support to claim that budget should be inclined to baby education. As a matter of fact,it is family education,to a large extent, that play the most important role in growth of baby.Hence, this case is too specific and too weak to strenghten the conclusion.Considerable though the advantages that putting more fund on infants’ schools enjoys are, they cannot compete with the benefits that funding for university brings about. In a word, it is rather superficial to simply say that financial department should provide more fund for very young children education.
All in all, although some people may still remain unconvinced, the factors and reasons I have analyzed could at least make them more aware of the various dimensions of the issue under discussion. There is little doubt that more and more people will come to realize that government should put more of its financial resourses into universities. |
