求问一个推荐信的问题

某校对推荐信的一个要求是“All applications require two recommendations. If you have been working full-time for at least six months, one recommendation should be from your current supervisor.”

这条似乎很难办到啊，让现任老板写推荐信，不是等于告诉他一旦申请成了我就要走人了么，这与我们的办公室文化似乎不符啊。

想听听大家意见，遇到这种情况该怎么解决呢，有没有可能找非“current supervisor”代替或是有其他办法？谢谢了。

Hey there—it is okay that you cannot get a LOR from your current supervisor.  Ideally you can, but I was in the same position when I applied.  Sometimes, it is bad for your work to let them know that you are applying.  Schools understand this.  You will simply need to address it in your Optional Essay.  Explain what has happened, and why you cant approach your current supervisor.  They will understand—many of our clients (and many applicants) have the same problem.  It is quite common—so don’t worry!  Just explain the issue in your optional essay… AND GOOD LUCK!

Thanks so much for your reply. One more question, under this circumstance, will there be any influence on the evaluation of my application by the admission dept., coz most business schools require that "one LOR should be from your current supervisor".

Hey there—no, you will not be at any kind of disadvantage.  Schools understand your predicament.  While it would be ideal, they realize that in certain cases there is nothing that we can do.  Not the end of the world—just explain it in your optional essay, and you should be all set.  Good luck!
