因为A是run-on sentence。具体解释在：OG12 page653 Grammatical Construction。A一定要排除掉的。
纵观整句话，分号前后是相反的句意。although是尽管，让步条件。符合整句话的逻辑。你把原文中文解释一遍，你就会豁然开朗了。
