如果资源（钱，时间……）容许的话，最好去学校面。Show commitment和impress AO, the decision maker.

Hey there!  In a perfect world, you can go to Wharton and interview there.  After all, this way you would be able to show your interest in the school by visiting in person!  However, there is now a timing issue.  If for example you are in China, and it takes some number of weeks to get your visa etc, you may not be able to get to the school in time!  If you can get to the US in a hurry, and visit the school…DO IT!  Otherwise, a satellite interview would be just fine—not quite as powerful, but just fine.  Hope this helps my friend!

Yes, of course the school cant say that they will give any extra consideration if you go—after all, for so many applicants who simply cannot make the trip, it would be unfair to do so.  But it is just common sense here; if they can put a face to your name, and if you can meet someone important (and assuming that your application is right on the edge etc.) then it can have a great effect.  It is just one more valuable datapoint—and the more in-depth, first-hand data they can give, the better!  Hope this helps, and good luck to you my friend
