要削弱的结论是：eruptions引起天气比正常情况下冷
A说这种冷的效应会被太平热的不正常的水抵消。它并没有反对结论啊，火山爆发还是引起了天气变冷啊。

后半句，，，是说能够暂时性缓解这种由二氧化物。。。的excess 。。造成的变暖趋势。。。

这样看也是无关选项撒

别老盯着后半句嘛 咱看看前半句
单看后半句确实无关，但是句子开头说的是the climatic effects of major volcanic eruptions导致的，也就是说后面的二氧化碳过量并不是凭空出现的，而是由effects造成的 所以我认为这并不是无关项

D is in fact a strengthener of the original argument, which claims that major eruptions cause the atmosphere to become cooler than it would be otherwise. It simply provides a reason to explain how an erruption can stop the general WARMING trend for a brief time. So D is not a weakener for the question.

Why a strenghener?
Personally,D is correct as well.
Stimulus:eruptions-->severe winter
D:The climatic effects of major volcanic eruptions mask the general warming(as an another reason)-->severe winter
Therefore,I can accept D.
Please correct me!

我个人觉得D选项不是一个无关选项，其实D选项是个加强原文的选项因为说可以阻挡变暖的趋势，所以是在加强文章观点。所以错误。

It mentioned THE COOLING EFFECT. It actually strengthen the argument by admitting the cooling effect.
