Thanks for your comments. Actually my wife is doing MBA at Columbia and I'm at Cornell for MFE. I also once quited PhD. Hence I know all ends pretty pretty well...

谢谢 谢谢！其实我觉得读书工作都是很好的选择，只要努力，都可以做好。
我也问过我实习的老板，他倒希望我去Fed。 他觉得读书什么时候都可以申请，但是工作有些时候可遇不可取，而且Fed的经验在以后的工作中多多少少会用到。他觉得现在经济低谷期，申请学校的人很多，竞争太激烈，希望我工作几年后，等经济好些了，大家都去工作不读书了，再去申请B school, 会比较容易点。当然虽然他是Hedge Fund里面的，但是采用的是fundamental economic analysis approach, 和很多其他的hedge fund也不一样。所以他给的建议也是出于他自身的经历而言。很多现在身居高位的人，在读书的时候都还没有MFE，也都是清一色的MBA或者Finance Phd。毕竟MFE是十多年前才开始的，而且class size比MBA小很多。很难接触到有MFE degree然后又在很高位置上的。可能也是我认识的人圈子太小了的缘故。
总的而言，大家都给了很多好的建议，可以让我思考思考， 非常感谢！

I did not say that what YOU said doesn't make sense. I said 1)so many people at CD are just YY-ing;  2)the long-term impacts of any decision are subtle and to perceive and predict them correctly requires consummate intelligence and experience, therefore views of more experienced people should be put at premium.

Immediate insiders such as you are, of course, being at vantage point and can make great contributions, but I think opinions of the 60s and 70s people should also be consulted.
