晕，我一直认为同位语就只能一直只能指代前面的名词，不能指代整个句子，直到我看到下面这个例子。

大全228.        Corporations will soon be required to report to the government whether they have the necessary reserves to pay the pension benefits earned by their employees and that the information be published in annual reports to shareholders.

(A) earned by their employees and that the information be published

(B) that their employees earned and that the information be published

***information就是指代前面的whether句子。

不可以，这里的 practice指代的是the use of a single strain of plant  for a given crop over a wide area.注意，use在这里才是practice得同位语：use is the proper subject for the verb increases and a logical governing noun for the appositive practice。。。

我觉得A的a practice可以成为概括性同位结构，指代前面句子。Jerry的例子也说明了这是可以的。
