真是搞不懂了。看看longman的关于born 作为verb的解释：

     关于这个题目，答案应该是B

     

     第一点是时态，狗狗说的时态的例子我不赞同，那个题目是过去完成时态，发生在过去时态之前。我觉得过去时态和完成时态连用，表示过去时态进行在前，完成时态发生在后的意思，除了这个题目以外，还有一个题目，是天山真题里的，remain unchanged那题，当时很多人无法理解完成时态和过去时态并用，大家可找一下这个题目，体会一下。

     第二点是一种理解：vanish用完成时态完全可以理解，因为生物是逐渐消亡的，是一个大时间段的概念。但是appear用过去时态很多人不理解，觉得生物应该也是逐渐产生的，应该是完成时态。这里可能涉及了一个生物知识：目今95%以上的物种来自于生物大爆发的寒武纪（好象是寒武纪，呵呵，有些忘记了），我认为，ETS可能认为大部分的生物是过去出现的，并没有有时间段的概念。所以要用过去时态

同样的文化考点包括OG里那个律师辩护的题目：罪犯一般不将自己的罪行归咎于食品过敏那题，OG说句子的逻辑主语错了，罪犯不能将罪行归咎于食品，只有律师才可以。我就想不通，为什么罪犯就不能？？可能这就涉及了文化背景，律师去辩护，罪犯不能为自己辩护，大家找那个题目看看

呵呵.....我说的就是dreadpower版主的意思....可能我表述不当.....

就说说have appeared跟have vanished这两个时态,

因为原文的逻辑意思是出现在地球的五百种生物已经消失了,

所以我认为appear发生在vanish之前, 如果都用现在完成式, 能表达一前一后的关念吗?!

我不敢认同....因为现在完成式有表达从过去到现在的意境.....

拿我说的例子来看:

Some buildings that were destroyed and heavily damaged in the earthquake last year were constructed in violation of the city’s building code.

(A) Some buildings that were destroyed and heavily damaged in the earthquake last year were

拿(A)来看, 两个都用过去简单式, 也是分辩不出一前一后的概念

Here I offer a new opnion for all of you. Maybe we can think in this way.

According to my friend as a accounting manager in USA for 4 year, he said that in the 期貨 market, "commodity" means the " raw material", instead of  the " end products". As a results, alumi is one of the commodity so that choice "c" can be right.

那如果five hundred million different species泛指也行吧!!

且一些如all Sth, something, nothing...等等不定代词都只用that修饰(还不能用which)

我觉得这边可能是effectiveness型的错误.....

有答案的是B。但是题目发布者pumpkin mm 和大N，mindfree却坚持说是E。

就是不知道题目和答案是怎么来的！

这样的句型太常出现在GMAT和TOEFL里面了.....

偏偏这样的句型很经典.....
