正确答案D没有问题。只是想问一下，C中的they，og解释说可以指代states或者games。但是我是这样想的，既然前面是“among the pugnacious states of the Greek ”，是个修饰语，那么这里的they就毫无疑问地指向的是gmaes啊。。。。。不是应该跳跃指代吗？疑惑了~

我观察了一下。。。跳跃指代一般说的是that引导的同位语从句里的情况，59的C是时间状语从句。。。67的E是条件状语从句。。。也就是他们都是状语从句。。。所以不受你说的那个限制，也就会出现指代不清的情况，就是OG解释的情况。。。。这是我个人理解哈。。。在网上找了一下也没找到其他的说法。。。

我觉得LZ想复杂啦，你就记得在有主、从句的结构中，如果代词的前面有两个或以上同性质的词，那么指代就会发生歧义。比如前面有两个单数名词，那么it、its就会有指代歧义；如果前面有两个复数名词，那么they、thier就会有指代歧义。
但是你回头看看B选项it 只能指代morocco，而绝对不可能指代algeria，这就是消除了指代的歧义。如果真的还有疑惑，建议看看manhattan SC pronoun 那章。
