目标Finance 或 Economics PHD 是去Schulich 还是 UBC MBA 纠结中~

但是你现在在申请MBA作为过渡。 你的倾向已经很明显了，UBC MBA 比较合适。

就是不知道MBA对以后申PHD有没有帮助。我以前McMaster的经济学教授说如果目标是PHD的话就去读SFU或者渥太华的Econ MA， MBA没有什么用。可是我又怕万一以后如果不读PHD的话拿个ECON MA一点用也没有~ 郁闷~

The program is not well structured. The funding is terrible. The PhD program does not have a right culture. Plus, you need to take a number of courses outside of business school, which York lacks. The university is located in the middle of nowhere.

我知道奖学金是一年22000， 学费每学期多少？ 一年几个学期呢？学费之外的杂费和书费多少呢？
我也申请了Schulich，再等他们消息。多谢大侠。

Sadly I was rejected by Rotman... I only applied Rotman, UBC, Schulich, and SFU. It seems like UBC is the better choice in my case, I guess.

nowadays MBA rarely leads to a PHd anymore as more and more ppl have better background than MBA students. So if you really wanna do research, AVOID MBA, do MA or MSc instead.

In terms of MBA, your main goal should be finding a job after graduation, so UBC is really useless because Vancouver has no industry ties what so ever; therefore, go to Schulich, and its MBA is reputatble and it is located in GTA

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you think SFU Econ MA is a good choice then? The thing is I only have the money to do two years of full time study. I have to work after graduation in order to save up for the Phd, that's why I thought MBA is a moderate choice.
