Why do you have to save up fpr PhD?
nowadays MBA rarely leads to a PHd anymore as more and more ppl have better background than MBA students. So if you really wanna do research, AVOID MBA, do MA or MSc instead. In terms of MBA, your main goal should be finding a job after graduation, so UBC is really useless because Vancouver has no industry ties what so ever; therefore, go to Schulich, and its MBA is reputatble and it is located in GTA -- by 会员 jasonhaha (2011/2/21 22:39:28)
Thanks for the suggestion! Do you think SFU Econ MA is a good choice then? The thing is I only have the money to do two years of full time study. I have to work after graduation in order to save up for the Phd, that's why I thought MBA is a moderate choice. -- by 会员 suigu (2011/2/21 23:23:58)

Although the tuition is free, but I still have to pay for my living expense, especially I have a family of four to support. -- by 会员 suigu (2011/2/22 0:47:01)
Im not sure but i think normally MA/MSc should be funded whereas MBA is not, so you can def look into a MA. SFU is a good school if you find the right prof. I know someone with a MA from sfu and phd at ubc |
