请问这个图形题，是神马意思？

请问这道题是什么意思？附件里的图，横、纵坐标分别代表什么？看不懂。。尤其是LENGTHS OF SENIOR THESES 是纵坐标名，还是整个图形名啊？
Each senior in a college course wrote a thesis. The lengths, in pages, of

those seniors' theses are summarized in the graph above.

a. What is the least possible number of seniors whose theses were

within six pages of the median length?

b. What is the greatest possible number of seniors whose theses were

within six pages of the median length?

The Y axis shows the number of students whose thesis fall into the page length described on X axis.  For example, one student's theis is 0-9 pages long. And 4 students' theses are 10-19 pages long.

一般是轮不到我来答题的，这次刚好看到，可以试试。

最少就是2个，最多就是17

总人数是1+4+6+7+2=20，把所有theses按页数从小到大排列，median为第10和第11个的平均值，他们分别是在20-29页这个range的最大两个。这个范围有6个人，假设一个20，一个29，平均值是24.5，那么这两个人离这个值都在6页内，所以最少的人数不可能小于2。但如果真是一个20，一个29，那么这个页数范围的另外4个也肯定在此中间，那么就有6个人了。所以能够使得2人这个答案成立的话，就是这个range的其他4人为20页，此两人为29页，而30-39页range的人全在36页以上，就可以了。
那么最多的可能的情况，就是，10-19页数这个range的人全是19页；20-29这个range的人，5个20页，1个29页；30-39这个range的全是30页，则median为24.5，这些人都在6页的距离内。答案就是4+6+7=17。

题中并没有说明纵坐标代表什么，是吗？难道纵坐标代表的含义，是做题的过程中猜出来的？
