Most chinese students want to go banking, even in 'back office' (so called the best one, such as trader something, i'm not sure back/middle/ front which is the best, or which one is the most technical), they want to do the most technical, best paied job.
As one explained to me, students from INSEAD, did the same intern with those from big5 who are in GREANDE ECOLE program.

i'm not from big 5
neither in marketing, nor in finance.
just got information from some of those who were in big 5.
As to marketing, yes, you must have good french level, but some companies offers jobs or interns in english. As l'oreal, they have jobs face to asian market. It  becomes harder recently to get a job there, interns are not so difficult. I once had an interview with guerlain, an intern about asain market planing something, not in marketing. You must have good english level.
As about finance, you should know that those so called big4, are ussually not targets for students from big5. They say, big4 are their last choice. Since the crises in 2008, big4 got the more and more CVs from these schools.

但是本人对那个luxe实在是不感冒。

Yeah, definitely. And the thing is you should still go to MBA to get an associate/VP position in I-Bank. In most cases, the analyst program lasts 2 years and except for specific industry reasons, analysts are released to pursue further career path in either IB or industry, maybe some will go for consulting.

I have said that I'm not in finance, so i know not much about the finance.
Of course, those who are from INSEAD, LBS can get a better job as VP or associats something. Some of them do have the same content of internship with other students from GE program.
Just be polite.

Luxe is one of the best program of ESSEC.
But do what you r really interested in.
Finance is not bad, but it depends on what u r looking for.
If you have no we, and ge program is good for you.
If u have some we, and want to do a MBA with a finance concentration, other schools are maybe better(INSEAD, LBS)

Hello everyone, I can just give some personal experiences as I've been working in the finance sector in France for several years. First of all, the best paid jobs are in front office, and jobs are that as Traders, fund managers, analysts and product specialists.... Then you can also have a good pay if you work as sales persons in IB.
Middle office and back office jobs are relatively less paid comparing to front office, anyhow, it's easier to find a job in middle and the back, but very difficult in front.
From my point of view, the best French banking group is BNP, following by Credit Agricole, Soc Gen and BPCE. Anyhow, if you don't have a strong academic background, it's very difficult to enter BNP. People without GE or other famous schools' diploma may have more chance with Socgen or CA. The best payer is BNP, and the worst  is Natixis or Soc Gen.
If you don't speak fluent French, you have little chance to have a job in these big 4 French banks.
Since the crisis, it became harder to find a job in the banking sector worldwide, and same case in France even for those who have GE diplomas. That means you have to spend more time and more energy to find a job. Anyhow it's very easy to find a intership as banks are using long-term trainees as staff, but at the end of the intership, you have little chance to get a CDI, the best one you can expect is CDD.
That's all from my part for the moment, feel free to contact me if any question.

AXA is the second largest insurance group in the world, just behind Allianz, so it's a strong very diversified group. But it's not really banking, and insurance is quite different from banking despite some common activities. I know that AXA IM is one of the major asset managers, and it has overall a good reputation as employer.
