穿着马甲上来，想问问一直困惑的问题...大家捧捧场吧，或者要不也马甲回答一下？

1. 为什么CBS那么火呢？我看到的都是负面的消息，result/money-oriented classmates, competitive culture，high cost without scholarship, 除了location, CBS还有啥好的？大家只为了去nyu banking吗？

2. CBS到底要怎么样的人呢？为啥那么多牛牛都被ding了？

3. 只有EA才有希望吗？今年EA好像没发啥offer, 是不是RD还有希望？Background: consulting 2years（not MBB), high GPA/GMAT, top 5 U, 偶也不知道要不要申请了

我觉得去CBS就是为了个好工作吧，为了钱，读商学院多数还是为了钱吧

有人挑刺就说明期望值高 也许不算坏事吧 在纽约那种地方 也只能这样的性格去生存

1、CBS似乎是对中国大陆人比较友好的学校，每年据说都有20几个
2、我也被ding了！从我的观察看，CBS还真是喜欢精英——高G、T成绩、Big name enterprise、年轻
3、为啥不申？至少给自己一个机会

1. Great access to real world professionals instead of just students and professors.
2. The education is about practical skills instead of pure theory academics, which is good for people around 28.

I'm a big fan of Columbia. Love what I saw during campus visit. It's what business school should look like.

从我个人来说，不喜欢New Yorker，而且学校在纽约，大家没事都在城市里network或者逛，同学间的关系比较淡。也见过一些校友，也许算得上精明，但是少了几分内敛的气质和内在的智慧。当然我遇见的只是极少的人，远远不能代表学校学生的整体。

感觉大家热衷CBS更多考虑的是这几点：1）毕业后去金融业 2）位置 3）prestige。哥大在亚洲的声望非常高。尽管我在bw上看到很多老美认为在M7中，CBS比第二梯队的KCM还是略逊一筹。

ls说得真中肯， btw, what KCM stand for? Kellogg, Cornell, MIT?

2. What do practical skills refer to? Can't you learn practical skills on the job?

在CBS读书，没事天天都能去街上晃吧，至于做咨询和industry的，纽约也是大公司云集啊。
比起tuck，duke的同学，CBS的筒子们自然方便很多。
