1. In my opinion, "distinguish / differentiate A from B" is almost equal to "distinguish / differentiate between A and B." isn't is? Different uses are based on different contexts, I guess.

我在大全里看到过一个类似的句子,当时笔记只记了这么个问题,为了使问题更加明显,本人自己造了这么个句子.请指教.

最好能把原句找出来。我认为1. 从意思判断：主句+that+从句，doing sth.中doing意思可能只跟其中之一有逻辑关系，另一个明显不对。2. 如果如你所举的这句，我认为在gmat中可能是错误选项，因为它造成了歧义，应该避免这种情况的发生。

我在做princeton的时候碰到过类似的题目，我记得一个选项that从句, doing就是错的。具体的记不清了。

你所说“ETS认为现在分词句末就是修饰主句”，此时的主句是The Parthenon was a church from 1204 until 1456，所以establishing a mosque in the building and using the Acropolis 没有修饰主句，还是从句Athens was taken by General Mohammed the Conqueror，只不过此时用了被动，establishing and using感觉像是修饰Athens，而实际应该是General Mohammed the Conqueror。如果此句用了主动，我认为establishing and using也是可接受的。
