1、在定语从句中， “主语＋系动词”经常可以同时省略，既that+be, which+be, who+be可以同时省略，这个是考试的难点：e.g Indigo is a vat color, ____called because it does not dissolve in water.

2、定语从句的特殊省略：
   1）the way (in which)+句子
   2）the time (when, that)+句子
   3) by the time (that)+句子
   4) the reason (why, that)+句子

3、定语从句中， 若that或which在从句中作宾语， 那么可以省略that 或which
     n.1+n.2+vt.(n.1+n.2两个名词连不上时，那么中间一定省略that, 且在vt后作宾语)
   e.g Most crocodiles will eat anything (that) ____ capture and overpower.

对啊，首先根据句意system is composed 是被动，原句中的is 是main verb，所以后面就一定是从句，所以应该是

system (which/that is) composed ;而这里则省略了which/that is

个人一点经验：只要看到一个名词后直接跟一个V-ed 的形式，就要想到是不是which/that is 的省略，然后在仔细分析句子，这样就不大容易错或不懂了啊！再有就是多做题，题做多了，到时候看到就自然会想到了！！
