In particular, please detail your background in calculus-based probability. If your only exposure to probability was as part of a course that combined probability and statistics, please list the probability topics covered by this course.

是问学过哪些课程？course description？ 以及其他学过哪些内容？CMU实在是。。。诶。。。

另外，career path 和 short/long-term objective分开问。。。什么意思。。。谢谢~~

学校已经说清楚了，这些方面的能力不突出，很有挑战了。因此，申请之前，好好看看自己的成绩单吧，哈哈。我一个小朋友看完Tepper的资料之后感慨道：和MFE差不多了......

BTW，MSCF难道不就是MFE么……

For CMU, you should list all classes taken in the relevant fields including selected topics covered.  You shouldn't list entire course descriptions though.  It's important to get across to the adcom that you are prepared and serious about this course of study but don't put too many details.

这个我就没什么研究了，不过通过学校的要求可以看出来，数学不行人家不欢迎。其实2 double-spaced pages per essay这样的要求也没多少字可以写，你按照500为目标的话，说不了太多的东西。Describe your background and preparation in the four concentration areas of the MSCF program – finance, computer science, math and statistics. 既然您都提到了ESSAY A， 那个career plan 和 short-term/long-term objective 不是一个问题么？是分开回答还是集中一起回答？BTW,MSCF也是MFE的一种叫法。。。另外这个ESSAY也没有限制字数的。。。还是那个问题。。。ESSAY B如何展开呢？是陈述的方式还是列举课程和课程的topics covered然后再写什么别的啊。。。呵呵~~帮人帮到底送佛送到西~~~
