Today The Economist published its ninth ranking of the world’s top 100 full-time MBA programs. Tuck moved up to #2 worldwide. The top five schools were Chicago Booth, Tuck, Berkeley Haas, Harvard, and IESE. As always, we should all be pleased when the media recognizes the excellence of our learning community here at Tuck, particularly in such a global and student-centric ranking. The annual ranking is based on four factors The Economist Intelligence Unit identifies as the primary reasons students pursue an MBA: to open new career opportunities (weighted at 35%), for personal development and educational experience (35%), to increase salary (20%), and to build a professional network (10%). Tuck ranked particularly high in opening new career opportunities for its graduates, the effectiveness of the alumni network, the percentage of jobs found through the CDO, and the quality of our facilities.
It is important to note that each of the five major rankings employs its own methodology and that no single ranking can give a true picture of the value of any program. As always we remain focused on our goal of providing students with the very best MBA experience in the world.
