Tuck Internship Update

Consulting: 这一届中国人找consulting的有三个人，一个找美国的，一个找国内的，一个找其他国家的。目前为止两个人拿了三个offer，两个Mck，一个Bain。其中一个Mck和Bain都是国内的。拿到offer的人，一个以前是engineering，一个是internal consulting

Banking：这一届找banking的中国人和往届相比算是多的，截至目前5个人拿了6个offer，三个香港三个纽约。之前的背景：2个consulting，一个auditing，一个sales & trading，一个engineering

Corporate：4个人已经定了，不知道总共拿了多少offer，很多都是拿了一个就把其他的interview 拒了。

还有几个同学，有的是有PWA的，有的focus的方向不是主流的方向，公司的招聘进度比较晚，所以还在recruiting过程中。等到春季term，还会有许多公司来到学校，一些PE/VC的机会也才刚刚开放，包括一些investment management的公司，所以现在还言之尚早。

这一届找banking的人有7个，另外两位同学实力也是很强的，但是找工作这件事，运气占了很大成分。而且其中一位也很快就找到了另一份心仪的intern，综合考量之下，很难说原先的选择就更好。

Tuck并不是金融传统强校，学校地理位置离纽约又比较远，在香港的校友网络目前来说还相对薄弱，而这一届中国同学绝大部分都是要转行，如果不是CDO的支持、校友的帮忙和二年级师兄师姐的大力协助，难度是很大的。这一届的美国同学找banking的，绝大部分都是转行，从engineering转过去的就有好几个，最后都人手好几个offer。阻碍国际学生的，主要是语言和文化。

今年各大行都在Tuck招了不少人，全校总共不到50个人申请，UBS、Barclays、BAML都在Tuck各发了7～8个offer，其他的银行也都基本发了4个offer，即使今年还不把Tuck作为core school的银行如Credit suisse和DB，也各发了2～3个。middle market的bank，如Lazard之类的都没有统计，因为要求PWA。

I'm bring my wife with me to Tuck, so there're couple things I'd like to ask about getting relocated to Hanover.

1.    How much to buy a full set of furnitures? (sofa, dinner table, chairs, work desk, bed, futon etc.) I don't mind if it's second hand, I just want to weigh it against the option of shipping everything in.  If anyone who's a second year, and wants to sell everything, I'm VERY interested^_^
2.    How much are the utilities? I hear heat can be rather expensive during winter, so I'd like to know if it's better to go with those rent leases that cover heat.
3.    The school website indicated that I must go to a certain office with a 5000 USD account (proof of financial support I suppose) before they can issue an I-20 form to sponsor my wife's F2 visa.  Is there anyway I can do it while still in China, so I can go to Hanover together with my wife?  I know this question would be better answered by someone from school, but if anyone has gone through the similar situation, I'd appreciate if you can share your wisdom.

都是在国内的leadership program。Eli lily, Dupont, Deere, etc.
