Hey there, and I would be very happy to help you with this question.  I agree with you 100%.  And most of the time, the GMAT is a bottom line requirement!  But what we have learned through the years of working with hundreds of Chinese applicants, is that the “bottom line requirement” for Chinese (men especially) tends to be higher than that for other countries. This is why we are so focused on this number for our friends on CD—that has been what our years of experience working with Chinese clients has taught us.

So ultimately, I agree with you my friend!  The challenge is that the GMAT score, or “bottom line requirement” tends to be high for Chinese applicants.
I hope this helps!

Hi Jon Frank
Thank you for the informaiton shared with us.

Basically, i want to take the MBA program in the IT consulting area.
From some previous report, i noticed the UCLA is quite good in the area.
And this is the reason that i plan to choose UCLA.

But from the UCLA website, no such informaiton is provided.

Do you have any idea or advice?

Warm Regards

Hi there ,happy to share some ideas here.UCLA is a great program for IT.  There are other great programs though that you should also consider. I would also look at UT Austin, Carnegie Mellon, Ross, and University of Minnesota.  These are the best IT programs in the world!  And some of them aren’t even that hard to get into.  That is always a good thing.  I hope this is helpful for youlook beyond UCLA—there are many great programs.

Good luck!
