    The dry mountain ranges of the western United States
contain rocks dating back 440 to 510 million years, to the Ordovician period,and teeming with evidence of tropical marine life. 现在有一种理解与大家分享一下喽~~~
注意到题目中的regarding the geologic changes，我们应该定位到后面出现了Ordovician period的地方，又因为是地质的改变，所以E选项更合适~
