可是 我还是反应不过来，that作为从句宾语， 怎么直接放在 the number of protons(名词词组)和an atom ofthat element contains(名词词组)中间？也没有带双宾的谓语呀。第11题也是一样的糊涂，不理解考点。可否再指点一二？谢谢谢！！！

OK！我想过来了， 是不是表语从句？ that引导的表语从句后是完整的主谓结构， 且that可省略。
是不是？？？？？？？？？？

在高分于法上查到了，也想通了，应该是定语从句that作从句的宾语， 可省略。 这么重要的语法点居然忘了， 可恨！

表语从句并不是你说的那样的，是这样的：

1．  定义：用作表语的从句叫做表语从句。

2．  构成：关联词+简单句

3．  引导表语从句的关联词的种类：

如：

The trouble is that I have lost his address.  麻烦是我把他的地址丢了。
