我觉得加the好,因为formalities等所属of hotel,所以sth of sth前一个sth可认为是特指,一般加the。我留意了一下,这种情况前加the的很多。

D, the best choice, uses a correct sequence of present and future indicative verb forms--predicts, will fail, and is--in the three related clauses. Density, an abstract "mass" noun, is logically construed with greater than. In A and B, would fail disagrees with the other verbs in tense and mood. Choice A misconstrues density with more numerous than, and B uses the pretentious and illogical word provided for if m a conditional clause after a negative idea (would fail)(provided不能用于否定). C's should fail and was are confusing and inconsistent with predicts. C and E use the absurd phrase timber wolf density. (The wolves are not dense; their population is dense.) E also uses an inconsistent subjunctive form, were, and misconstrues density with more numerous than.

Provided: conj.

B and C end with "nor" but omit the "the", creating the structure "without the X nor Y" / "with none of the X nor Y". To be parallel, it should be "without the X nor the Y." Eliminate B and C.
A and D end with "or with the", creating the structure "(without the X) or (with the Y)" or "(with none of the X) or (with the Y)". This reinsertion of "with" makes the parallelism include the former "with"/"without" and creates a readability and meaning issue. It makes it look like the vacationers will either travel without trains or they will travel with hotel accomodation. This disagrees with the logic of the sentence. Eliminate A and D.
E ends with "or the", creating "without the X or the Y". Parallel and grammatically correct - this is the correct answer choice.

在BeatG上找到的东西,额,可以解释NN前辈们问的the的问题,前后都有the才平行对称。PS.前人的学术探究精神让后人为之汗颜。。。

找到MSF新闻的一个大标题:In Southern Guinea, refugees flee without any protection nor assistance to  ...

This is a classic question for vertical elimination.

Scan the first words of the answer choices: "with none of" vs. "without". "Without" wins the conciseness category, but both mean the same and are grammatically correct, so we leave this detail to help us decide between answer choices later, if necessary.

Next, the phrase "the restrictions of passenger trains" repeats in all answer choices. No eliminations.

Next, B omits the "and" from "and railroad timetables". This causes an list of "A, B, nor (X, Y, and Z)." While this division is as ugly as hell and doesn't quite match the sentence logic (it makes better sense to separate into a train list and a hotel list), it is still grammatically correct. However, it dramatically reduces B's chances.

Finally the last part offers three options:
Thanks Amit, got it!
The OA is E

再刷OG看到了这道题,试着结合解释来说一下我觉得比较快的解答方法。
先推测句意:X allowed them to enjoy nature close at hand and tour at their own pace, with none of the restrictions of passenger trains and railroad timetables or with the formalities, expenses and impersonality of hotels
很明显句意是 没有(passenger trains和railroad timetables) 也没有 ( formalities, expenses and impersonality of hotels)。
所以A 和 D 就首先排除掉了,因为后半句的with改变了句意,使得整个句子的反义变成了一半的反义:没有 A, 或者有B

然后再来看or 还是 nor
举个栗子来说明: I like A and B 是我喜欢A,也喜欢B
                                  ——变成反义——
                           I don't like A or B 我不喜欢A, 也不喜欢B

一目了然,nor的出现是不必要的 ,而且without A, nor B 也不符合语法, 我认为正确的应该是with neither A, nor B 但本题的题意并不在此
排除 B 和 C, 剩下了 答案 E
