我觉得其实比例挺失调的。纽约的decent的单身女性很多，但是decent的单身男性太少了。就拿跟我一年进公司的这个class来说，bankers，很典型的纽约客代表吧？1/3结婚了，1/3在接下来的一年里结婚了，剩下1/3里面一大半有serious relationship。少数单身的，哇，那叫一个受欢迎。

他们都属于是自带干粮型的？从外地往纽约带的女生？还是在当地找的？

不过上面cdo说的那种认识30多个不错女生都找对象困难的，好夸张啊。。。

都是自带的。很多是商学院情侣。还有一些是正好在商学院的空闲结了婚（这个我们学校的中国同学也都这样，二年级结婚的并且带家属来的好多）。商学院的都是一起毕业到纽约来的。其实这也make sense，商学院刚毕业当然先着重事业，事业有点小起色年纪也都不轻了，还不如在立业之前先解决了后顾之忧，尤其对于banker的schedule，头两年还真没空出去date，有date的都面临分手。

cdo说的就是纽约的真实现状啊，我身边的女性朋友，如果在来纽约之前没有解决的，迄今为止我一个成功在纽约解决的例子都没看到，遇到非常烂的date的案例倒是一大把。

this is so true... even applies to situations in london and hk. most female bankers i know either got their bfs before graduation or it's hard for them to get any after entering investment banking... i've talked to some male friends. most think female banker sound very intimidating to begin with, and comes with this is a super busy schedule too. and what's worse, a lot of these female bankers look quite hot to begin with.... sigh, what a sad situation for female finance professionals

super agree. guys feel like they need to be put on your blackberry in order to be considered, and that is a huge deterrence. Haven't seen any colleagues who find boyfriends while working as analysts/associates, but several male bankers got married.

Sadly agree with this as well.  All the female senior officers I see (in IBs or PE/HFs) either met their husbands really early (actually a lot of them met their husbands during analyst training) or met them during business school.  If you have graduated from business school and you are still single, well, good luck.  Most guys in finance rather marry school teachers, HR girls, and etc.  I know this one female VP who was single (maybe age 35?).  She got laid off in '08, then finally found a guy, got married and had a baby all within less than two years...

很多人， 尤其是女人， 可能还没想清楚为什么要结婚，自己是不是有能力handle婚姻。 是不是幸福，只有自己知道。真不知道什么叫剩女，怎么会有这个词出现。一个女人，如果一辈子也不结婚，经济自由，任何年龄阶段都有高质量的男人追求和date, 事业成功，也没有什么不好吧。只有很多女人可能没有这个能力达到这一步。

一个人忙就已经很困难了，总希望另一个能够空一点，这样两个人才能起码凑出点时间在一起。

其实，投行对个人外表还是有不低要求的，所以大投行里很多女的analyst真的是很hot....太可惜了。。
