我想可能是这样：Humphry Davy 和Robert Boyle 都算是化学家，Robert Boyle 在前提出了他的chemistry，之后人们以此为基础有了all chemistry ，但Humphry Davy 有了一个a new chemistry，所以his essay即是对前人的一种批评，也是对自己的新想法一个想象。

这题我认为since后可能是不加人名的，至少我还没找到这种例句。

第一个,支持A. 因为B里面的also多余,而且envisioning这个东名词形式也没有vision这个名词用的好.A里面 a critic...a vision...是多么完美的平行啊!ETS怎么可能不喜欢~~~呵呵

第二个,不坚定的选C.E中like 肯定是不用来举例的,比是比较的话, 这里是market & commodities 也不对.

个人觉得A,C.第一题A平行又对称，符合ets原则。第2题C比较好，举例只能用such as,从来没有用过like,如果举例都能用like，那么those of 的问题也不算问题了。还有就是like有像的意思，E如果是对的，那么就是commodities像commodities of aluminum and other metals的意思，就把commodities of aluminum and other metals排除在commodities之外了！这是like的一个特性，不可不察。

一定选B.
因为逗号后面是 Results的同位,而且注意是results,而不是result,所以逗号后面一定是 名词** and 名词**. 所以选B. 尽管B也不是完美的,但是5个中最好的答案.
