根据很多反馈，一部分学校不招人，一部分学校减招， 最后全美phd in finance 一共找了多少人呢？欢迎估算。

For top schools, the ratio should be around 2-4 admits out of 200-350 or even more applicants per school.

1000 in all??? are you kidding me?? ;D NYU Stern alone received more than 1000 applicants this year, although it's the total number for all their phd programs.

i calculate 1000 as follows:

about 200 applicants    per school
100 school in all
one applicant apply 20 schools.

so    200*100/20 =1000

Based your assumption that there are totally 1000 applicant.

300 offer / 1000 applicants = 0.3 offer/applicant

Which means 3 out of 10 applicants will get an offer finally since each applicant can only enroll in one school at the end.  

I doubt this.
