CMU MSCF VS Stanford Financial Math VS PhD?

谢谢大家的意见阿，我知道NYU/CMU就业情况好因为practical curriculum & location. 一般PhD in Finance也还是比较喜欢要学theoretical math/stats/finance的人所以感觉stanford会更好点。。。

到时候工作个5 6年去STANFORD HSB之类的读个MBA不成问题

你要是能忍受住PHD的清贫那考虑PHD

Then I will first rule out Stanford. Stanford will give you the best preparation for PHD, but its career service just sucks. Plain and simple. NYU and CMU both have good placement, but I like NYU better because it has a smaller class and better location. It also gives you good foundation for PHD study. If I remember correctly, NYU's placement record for Chinese students is slighly better than CMU as well.

If FO job is your ultimate goal, then I don't think you should go for Columbia PHD. 5-year is a big investment. Your career options after your PHD are also limited.

如果想读phd去STANFORD把，曾经有中国人读完master之后直接读了finance PHD,应该来说这类硕士只有stanford和princeton 有大量PHD level的理论课程。如果工作那没有怀疑CMU NYU
