Gall's hypothesis
of there being different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today.
(A) of there being different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(B) of different mental functions that are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(C) that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(D) which is that there are different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(E) which is widely accepted today is that there are different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain

答案是c。
这题我是做对了,但是我不太明白og对b的解释“this construction distorts meaning by separating parts of the description”按照og的解释,b哪里错了?

120.
A firm that specializes in the analysis of handwriting claims from a one-page writing sample that it can assess more than three hundred personality traits, including enthusiasm, imagination, and ambition.

(A) from a one-page writing sample that it can assess
(B) from a one-page writing sample it has the ability of assessing
(C) the ability, from a one-page writing sample, of assessing
(D) to be able, from a one-page writing sample, to assess
(E) being able to assess, from a one-page writing sample,

答案是d。
a哪里错了?og的解释是“a。prepositional phrase following the verb distorts the meaning of the sentense”如何distort了?a的翻译该如何?

126.The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual
that, in turn, create unconscious physiological response.
A) that, in turn, create unconscious physiological responses.
B) that create unconscious physiological responses in turn.
C) creating, in turn, unconscious physiological responses.
D) to create, in turn, physiological responses that are unconscious.
E) who creates unconscious physiological responses in turn.

答案是a。

(B) (hypothesis)of different mental functions that are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(C) (hypothesis)that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today

而different mental functions 是localized in different parts of the brain
localized in different parts of the brain是修饰mental functions 的

C是说
that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain的 hypothesis

120

(A) from a one-page writing sample that it can assess
(D) to be able, from a one-page writing sample, to assess

(A) from a one-page writing sample 来修饰claim的吧
(D) from a one-page writing sample 来说明the analysis of handwritin源自哪吧

126.
“create unconscious physiological responses.”

120 不选c 的原因是  the ability of doing  的结构错了

ability 貌似那里看到说 只有 the ability to do sth
