今天刚看到这道题，说说我的想法。
注意原文说了：All the recorded staple grains grown in WA were introduced from elsewhere
逻辑题目是机遇题目正确（无论怎么不合常识），所以这句话直接就否定了B选项。A选项的意思是：没有别的比rice和yams更早引进的staple grains了，这就保证了rice是最早的，保证了rice的纪录时间

我也来说说我的看法吧，B选项有个一个could。这说明western africa本地没有一个植物具备成为staple food的能力。注意是能力。有没有能力成为和最后到底成没成为是两码事。本题不需要假设他没有能力作为staple food。因为哪怕某些native plants有能力作为staple food，但也没成为staple food（从All the recorded staple crops grown in western Africa were introduced from elsewhere这句话中可。也就是说B选项的否定形式不能削弱argument关于用rice和yam来确定时间的结论。因而B选项不能作为一个”必须“的假设。
