which在gmat里，不能跳跃指代，因为如果可以跳跃的话，读者就可怜了，到处要猜指代的对象。句子意思也歧义。


C 里面的 it，是指那个empire

楼主，这个问题问的很好。我以前也总结过你这个问题。
这里涉及bring with短语的用法，
I bring the book with me.  I will bring the tools with me.
Bring he here with you.(逻辑主语很容易知道是you)
所以bring之前的逻辑主语和with后面的代词都是之的一个人活着事物，
这里bring引导的状语从句，逻辑主语是The Achaemenid empire of Persia，所以it也是指代的是The Achaemenid empire of Persia。

LZ 你好，which一般就近指代先行词；但结合实战来看，至少有1个exception：
which出现在宾语从句时（含which的状语从句中谓语可能包含倒装的情况，不适用于以下的参考方法），
若which之后的谓语动词，与which前方就近的名词 单复数不匹配，那么先行词可能在更前方，也就是所谓的“跳跃指代”情况；（我找到例句后，再补充进来）
我个人觉得，衡量which与先行词的匹配与否在于：1）主谓的单复数匹配；2）主谓的逻辑意思匹配，仅供参考

which的跳跃是有规律的，在这里不复合跳跃的要求

是可以跳跃指代的，但是指代的一定是逗号前面的核心名词，可跳跃到介词引导的一些修饰核心内容的修饰成分，不能因为，不是最近就直接给删掉了，可以留着，然后排除其他的选项，留下来的两个，比较哪个更不好，然后删掉。  
还有，语义逻辑为王。
