I didn't know Vanderbilt is THAT good. but looks like everyone here really likes Vanderbilt. Can anybody tell me what level Vandi is really at? thanks.

For the University as I whole, Excellent~! I don't think I should explain on this. Everyone knows Vandy is a Top level school in US.




Business school, I really love it! But without the powerful ranking, my words may seem ridiculous.


This year Princeton rank it at 30. Last position of Tier 1.


I should say, the ranking of Owen is due to the following reason:


1, Historically, they accepted extremely small numbers of PhD students, and only in 2 to 3 subject areas.


2, Three powerful professors either getting old or switching to another school.


3, It does have undergrad.


4, It is a small school.


And finally, the ranking is still not bad.

我大學4年來很明顯的感覺出Purdue在走下坡路~
我是科學院的,拿了MGMT+ECON minor...
Purdue的Finance課跟higher division MGMT課都是PHD在上的,基本就是瞎亂教
該是換學校的時候了

我倒觉得本科让PHD教也算比较正常的吧，毕竟是公立学校。但graduate school的professor还是很不错的吧？希望版上有Krannert的nn出来说说。

Purdue是派不是學該領域的PHD來教喔,來的TA自己基本也不是很懂!
graduate school的professor都專注於corporate finance
Krannert不是很重視數學方面的教學~

我也只是过去参观过一节Prof McComb （如果没记错）的Finance课。感觉他讲的很好。可能如你所说，学校比较偏corporate finance吧。Anyway，你去Vandy肯定会收获丰富的！
